Biography
Quella Vecchia Locanda were an Italian progressive rock band from Rome, active in the early 1970s. Built around Claudio Filice's violin and Giorgio Giorgi's flute and vocals, with guitarist Raimondo Maria Cocco, keyboard player Massimo Roselli, bassist Massimo Giorgi and drummer Patrick Traina, they blended rock with folk and classical music. Their two albums, 'Quella Vecchia Locanda' (1972) and 'Il Tempo della Gioia' (1974), are prized examples of Italian progressive rock, but the band split shortly after the second.
