Biography
Quicksilver Messenger Service is an American psychedelic rock band formed in San Francisco in 1965, a cornerstone of the city's ballroom scene. Guitarists John Cipollina and Gary Duncan led the classic lineup heard on 'Quicksilver Messenger Service' (1968) and 'Happy Trails' (1969); Dino Valenti and Nicky Hopkins joined for the early-1970s albums. Their free-flowing twin-guitar jams made them one of the defining live acts of the Haight-Ashbury era.
