Rhododendron

Rhododendron is a trio from Portland, Oregon, that formed in 2019 while its members were still in high school. The band quickly cultivated a loyal local following with a sound rooted in technical precision and dynamic intensity. Drawing from post-hardcore, math rock, and jazz, their music relies on Gage Walker's dexterous basslines, Noah Mortola's relentless drumming, and Ezra Chong's effects-laden guitar and shrieks. After their 2021 LP 'Protozoan Battle Hymns', they signed to the label #The Flenser# for the release of their acclaimed 2026 album, 'Ascent Effort', showcasing a heavier, more focused direction honed by years of live performance.
