Biography
Rose City Band is the Portland, Oregon psychedelic country project of Ripley Johnson, guitarist and singer with *Wooden Shjips* and *Moon Duo*. Begun as a mostly solo studio outlet in 2019, it grew through 'Summerlong' and 'Earth Trip' into a full band featuring John Jeffrey, Barry Walker, Paul Hasenberg and Sanae Yamada. Their albums for #Thrill Jockey#, including 'Garden Party' and 'Sol y Sombra', blend country rock, Americana and psychedelia into laid-back, groove-driven songs.
