Sacrilege is a crust punk and thrash metal band from Birmingham, formed in 1984 and fronted by Lynda 'Tam' Simpson. Its debut 'Behind the Realms of Madness' (1985) helped invent crust punk's fusion of hardcore and metal. The band split in the early 1990s, re-formed in 2014 and returned with the album 'The Fifth Season' (2025), after decades of silence.
