Biography
Sarathy Korwar is a United States born, India raised and London based drummer, percussionist and composer working across jazz, Indo jazz, Indian classical music and electronics. Trained in tabla in India and at SOAS in London, he won support from the Steve Reid Foundation to record his 2016 debut 'Day to Day', made with the Sidi Troupe of Ratanpur. His second album 'More Arriving' appeared in 2019, and he has since led the UPAJ Collective, co-founded *Flock* and released 'Kalak', music shaped by migration and the South Asian diaspora.
