Biography

Serge Bringolf is a French drummer and percussionist from Strasbourg whose work spans progressive rock, jazz fusion and Afro-Cuban rhythm. After early saxophone studies at the Conservatory of Strasbourg, he settled on drums and worked widely as a sideman. His leader debut 'Strave' appeared in 1980, followed by 'Vision' in 1981, both large ensemble recordings with zeuhl and Canterbury colouring. Later work included band albums in the 1980s, theatre and film projects, and the 2016 percussion album 'Cyborg Desire', which combined his acoustic and electronic drum approaches.
