Sergius Golowin

Biography

Sergius Golowin (31 January 1930, Prague, to 17 July 2006, Bern) was a Swiss writer and researcher of folklore and mythology who made one famous album. In 1973 he recorded 'Lord Krishna von Goloka' for #Ohr#, reciting his own German texts over improvised cosmic music by *Klaus Schulze*, *Bernd Witthüser*, *Walter Westrupp* and members of *Wallenstein*. Long sought after by collectors, the record is now considered a krautrock classic. Golowin's main career was literary: many books on folklore and esotericism, and a Schiller Foundation prize in 1974.
