Biography

Scottish folk band formed in Edinburgh in 1970 and named in 1972. The classic line-up of Gordon Jones, Andy M. Stewart, Martin Hadden and brothers Johnny and Phil Cunningham played traditional songs and tunes with virtuoso drive and great humour, heard on albums from 'Silly Wizard' to 'Glint of Silver'. They disbanded after a final concert in April 1988. Their influence endures today.
