Biography
Slave were a Dayton, Ohio funk band formed in 1975 by Floyd Miller and Steve Washington. On #Cotillion Records# they hit R&B number one with 'Slide' (1977), and after singer-drummer Steve Arrington joined in 1978 they added the Top 10 R&B hits 'Just a Touch of Love', 'Watching You' and 'Snap Shot'. Departures in 1981–82, including members who formed *Aurra* and Arrington himself, ended their peak, though the band continued releasing albums until the mid-1990s.
