Biography
Squirrel Flower is the moniker of Boston-born American singer-songwriter Ella O'Connor Williams, now based in Chicago. Raised in a family of jazz and classical musicians, she released her first songs as a teenager and broke through with her #Polyvinyl Records# debut 'I Was Born Swimming' (2020). Her albums pair haunting vocals and textured electric guitar with melancholic, introspective songwriting, from the disaster imagery of 'Planet (i)' (2021) to the rock-driven 'Tomorrow's Fire' (2023) and 'Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going' (2026).
