Biography
Standstill is a band from Barcelona, Spain, formed in 1995 and led by Enric Montefusco. The group began in European post-hardcore, singing in English on 'The Tide' and 'The Ionic Spell', then reinvented itself from 2004 with Spanish lyrics and a melodic, theatrical indie and art-rock sound. 'Vivalaguerra' and 'Adelante Bonaparte' made Standstill a reference point for Spanish independent music before its 2015 split and 2024 live reunion.
