Steve Harris

Steve Harris is the founder, bassist, primary songwriter, and leader of the iconic heavy metal band Iron Maiden. Renowned for his distinctive and influential 'galloping' bass style, he has been the band's only constant member since its inception in 1975. Harris's songwriting, often inspired by history, mythology, and literature, has been a driving force behind seminal albums like 'The Number of the Beast' and 'Powerslave'. Beyond Iron Maiden, he explores a more hard rock-oriented sound with his side project, British Lion. As the band's main creative visionary, he has also been heavily involved in production and mixing for #EMI# and other labels, solidifying his status as a pillar of the metal community.
