Biography
Los Angeles quintet formed in late 1994 by former KXLU college radio DJs Chris Gunst, Paul Larson, Jimmy Tamborello, Ian MacKinnon and Jimmy Hay. Dubbed Enocore for its mix of ambient texture and hardcore dynamics, Strictly Ballroom released one studio album, 'Hide Here Forever' (1997), on #Waxploitation#, a college radio favourite that remained the band's sole full-length statement before the members regrouped as Arca around 2001. Tamborello later became known as *Dntel* and a member of *The Postal Service*.
