Biography
Sui Generis were the Argentine folk rock duo of Charly GarcĂa and Nito Mestre, formed in Buenos Aires in 1969. GarcĂa's piano and songwriting and Mestre's guitar, flute and harmony vocals defined their sound on 'Vida' (1972) and 'Confesiones de invierno' (1973), two of the defining Argentine rock albums of the 1970s. A brief expansion into a full rock band produced 'Pequeñas anĂ©cdotas sobre las instituciones' (1974) before the duo split in 1975, reuniting for 'SinfonĂas para adolescentes' (2000).
