Biography

Formed in Albacete in 1988, Surfin' Bichos were pioneers of Spanish indie rock across four albums of noise pop and surreal songwriting before splitting in 1994. Fernando Alfaro's literate lyrics and the band's raw guitar sound influenced a generation of Spanish independent groups. Alfaro, Joaquín Pascual and Carlos Cuevas reunited the band in 2006 for anniversary concerts and occasional performances since.
