Biography
Jazz guitarist Tal Farlow (1921–1998), from Greensboro, North Carolina, emerged with the *Red Norvo* Trio and made classic 1950s albums for #Verve Records# before a long semi-retirement as a sign painter, returning to record in the 1970s and 1980s. His speed, harmony and chord-melody playing made him one of the most admired guitarists in jazz. Guitarists still study his 1950s recordings today.
