Biography
The Album Leaf is the solo project of San Diego musician Jimmy LaValle, founded in 1998 while he was guitarist in *Tristeza*. LaValle writes and records the music himself, blending Rhodes piano, electronics, guitar and ambient textures. Albums from 'An Orchestrated Rise to Fall' and 'In a Safe Place', recorded in Iceland for #Sub Pop#, to 'Between Waves' and 'Future Falling' established the project, with hired musicians joining only for live performance.
