The Barbarians of California

Biography

The Barbarians of California is a hardcore punk and alternative metal band that serves as a visceral side project for members of *AWOLNATION*. The group was formed in Los Angeles by *AWOLNATION* frontman Aaron Bruno and his longtime collaborator, producer Eric Stenman. The project began when Stenman shared a collection of heavy, unreleased riffs with Bruno, who was immediately inspired to add vocals, formalizing the band's creation. They are joined by fellow musicians Zach Irons, David Amezcua, and Linden Reed. The band's sound is a raw, energetic throwback to the members' roots in the '90s California hardcore and skate scenes, blending aggressive energy with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor.
