Biography
The Blue Aeroplanes are a Bristol rock band formed in 1981, led by poet singer Gerard Langley with his brother John on drums and dancer Wojtek Dmochowski. Their guitar heavy, poetry led sound peaked commercially with 'Swagger' in 1990 and the UK Top 40 album 'Beatsongs' in 1991, both on #Ensign#. A famously fluid line-up has kept the band active for over four decades, with later albums including 'Welcome, Stranger!' and 'Culture Gun'.
