Swedish band The Crown formed in Trollhättan in 1990 as Crown of Thorns, taking their shorter name in 1998 after a legal dispute. Their fast, thrashing death metal peaked with 'Deathrace King' and 'Possessed 13' for #Metal Blade Records# in the early 2000s. After splitting in 2004 they reformed in 2009 and remain active, led by guitarist Marko Tervonen and vocalist Johan Lindstrand.
