The Dillinger Escape Plan

The Dillinger Escape Plan was a pioneering American mathcore band from Morris Plains, New Jersey, known for their frantic, unpredictable compositions and chaotic live performances. Formed in 1997 by guitarist Ben Weinman, the group redefined the boundaries of technical metal and hardcore punk. Their debut album "Calculating Infinity" is widely regarded as a landmark of the genre, blending jazz-like complexity with aggressive intensity. After the addition of vocalist Greg Puciato, the band explored more melodic and industrial textures on records like "Miss Machine" and "Option Paralysis". Before disbanding in 2017, they remained one of the most creatively fearless acts in extreme music, culminating in their final studio effort "Dissociation".
