Biography
The Gun Club was an American band formed in Los Angeles in 1979, led throughout its life by singer and guitarist Jeffrey Lee Pierce. Merging punk rock with blues, country and swamp imagery, the band released 'Fire of Love' in 1981, 'Miami' in 1982 and 'The Las Vegas Story' in 1984, split, and reformed in London for 'Mother Juno' in 1987 and later albums ending with 'Lucky Jim' in 1993. Pierce died in March 1996, and the band's seven studio albums have since become foundational texts of punk blues.
