Biography
The Human Instinct are a New Zealand hard rock band formed in 1966 and led throughout by Maurice Greer, their singing stand-up drummer. After British freakbeat singles, the band found their identity as a heavy trio with guitarist Billy TK on 'Burning Up Years', 'Stoned Guitar' and 'Pins In It'. Later albums broadened into blues and country rock before Greer disbanded the group in 1982. He revived the name in 2002 and released 'Midnight Sun' in 2010.
