Biography
The Long Ryders are an American band formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by Sid Griffin, Stephen McCarthy, Greg Sowders and Tom Stevens. Emerging from the Paisley Underground, they married punk drive to country and folk-rock influences, anticipating the Americana movement. Their albums 'Native Sons', 'State of Our Union' and 'Two-Fisted Tales' made them cult favourites in Britain and America. After splitting in 1987, they reunited and resumed recording, returning in 2019 with 'Psychedelic Country Soul'.
