Biography
The Montgolfier Brothers were a British duo of Mark Tranmer and Roger Quigley, formed in 1999. Tranmer composed their delicate, keyboard-led music while Quigley sang his wry, melancholic lyrics. Their albums 'Seventeen Stars' (1999), 'The World Is Flat' (2002) and 'All My Bad Thoughts' (2005) earned a devoted cult following for their hushed indie pop. The partnership ended when Quigley died in August 2020.
