Biography
The Music were an English alternative rock band from Kippax, Leeds, active from 1999 to 2011 and again for a 2020 to 2022 reunion. Singer and guitarist Robert Harvey, lead guitarist Adam Nutter, bassist Stuart Coleman and drummer Phil Jordan mixed indie rock with dance grooves and psychedelic guitar. Their albums 'The Music' (2002), 'Welcome to the North' (2004) and 'Strength in Numbers' (2008) made them one of the most talked about British guitar bands of the early 2000s, and their 2022 Temple Newsam homecoming drew their biggest crowd.
