Biography
Collaboration between Mayo Thompson's experimental rock band The Red Krayola and the conceptual art collective Art & Language, treated here as its own billing. Beginning with 'Corrected Slogans' in 1976, the partnership set political and art-theory texts to deliberately awkward, ironic music. Its best-known records are the post-punk era albums 'Kangaroo?' (1981) and 'Black Snakes' (1983), made in London with musicians including Allen Ravenstine, Lora Logic and Gina Birch.
