Biography
The Trip were pioneers of Italian progressive rock, formed in London in 1966 and based in Italy. Led by keyboardist Joe Vescovi, their four albums for #RCA# moved from psychedelia on 'The Trip' through the mythological concept of 'Caronte' to the trio format of 'Atlantide' and the jazz-rock of 'Time of Change'. Guitarist Billy Gray and drummer Pino Sinnone shaped the early records, while Furio Chirico powered the later trio. Re-formed in the 2010s, the band remains a cornerstone of the Rock Progressivo Italiano story.
