Biography
The Young Tradition were an English folk vocal trio, Peter Bellamy, Heather Wood and Royston Wood, active from 1965 to 1969. Their unaccompanied close harmonies gave traditional songs, many from the *Copper Family*, a stark and youthful force. Their three albums for #Transatlantic Records#, 'The Young Tradition', 'So Cheerfully Round' and 'Galleries', made them leading figures of the 1960s English folk revival, and their recordings remain benchmarks for unaccompanied traditional singing.
