Biography
The Tord Gustavsen Trio is a Norwegian jazz trio led by pianist Tord Gustavsen with drummer Jarle Vespestad. Formed in 2001 with bassist Harald Johnsen, it released the #ECM Records# albums 'Changing Places', 'The Ground', which reached number one in Norway, and 'Being There'. After a long hiatus Gustavsen revived the trio for 'The Other Side' in 2018, and with bassist Steinar Raknes it has since released 'Opening' and 'Seeing', continuing its spacious, hymn-influenced style of jazz.
