Biography
Trace were a Dutch symphonic prog trio led by keyboard virtuoso Rick van der Linden, formed in Den Dolder in 1973 after he left *Ekseption*. Their three albums 'Trace', 'Birds' and 'The White Ladies' blend classical themes with Hammond organ and Mellotron driven rock, much of it instrumental and built around classical themes. The group ended in 1976, and van der Linden later returned to *Ekseption*.
