Biography
Tri Yann is a Breton folk rock band from Nantes, France, formed in 1969 by Jean-Louis Jossic, Jean Chocun and Jean-Paul Corbineau. Taking their name from their shared first name, the group modernised traditional Breton music, first with acoustic instruments and, from the mid-1970s, with a full rock lineup. Albums such as 'La Découverte ou l'Ignorance', 'Portraits' and 'La Belle enchantée' made them France's best known Celtic band. They gave their final concert in Nantes in September 2021, ending a career of more than fifty years.
