Biography
Tennessee singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose 'organic moonshine roots music' fuses folk, blues, gospel, soul, country and Appalachian traditions in a high, pinched, unmistakable voice. Valerie June self-released two albums in Memphis before 'Pushin' Against a Stone' (2013), produced with *Dan Auerbach*, brought her international acclaim. 'The Order of Time', 'The Moon and Stars: Prescriptions for Dreamers', with its Grammy-nominated song 'Call Me a Fool', and 'Owls, Omens and Oracles' followed, alongside books of poetry and essays.
