Biography

Valium Aggelein was a short-lived side project of the San Jose slowcore band *Duster*, formed in 1998 by Clay Parton, Canaan Dove Amber and Jason Albertini. Where Duster worked in slow, hushed songs, Valium Aggelein improvised long instrumental pieces in the kosmische style, all drifting guitars, electronic hum and minimal drums. The trio released a single album, 'Hier kommt der schwartze Mond', in 1998, then returned to Duster. The album stayed obscure until #Numero Group# reissued it in 2020 as 'Black Moon', expanded with unreleased material from the same sessions.
