Biography
Vatican Shadow is the solo project of Dominick Fernow, the American noise musician behind *Prurient* and the #Hospital Productions# label. Active since 2010, it reframes his collage methods as industrial techno, layering martial beats, synth loops and samples beneath titles and artwork taken from War on Terror reporting. Releases began as limited cassettes including 'Kneel Before Religious Icons' and 'Ghosts of Chechnya', before album statements such as 'Remember Your Black Day' in 2013, 'Persian Pillars of the Gasoline Era' in 2020 and '20th Hijacker' in 2025 brought the project to wider attention.
