Biography
Vektor is an American thrash metal band formed in Tempe, Arizona, in 2002 by guitarist and vocalist David DiSanto, initially under the name *Locrian*. With guitarist Erik Nelson, the band developed a technical, science fiction themed take on thrash, self-releasing demos before signing to #Earache Records#. 'Black Future' (2009) and 'Outer Isolation' (2011) built their reputation, and 'Terminal Redux' (2016), a concept album, was widely acclaimed. The band split in 2016 when the other members departed, but DiSanto and Nelson reformed Vektor in 2020 with bassist Stephen Coon and drummer Mike Ohlson, and that lineup released the split EP 'Transmissions of Chaos' with *Cryptosis* in 2021. Their meticulous arrangements have earned Vektor a devoted following within modern thrash.
