Biography
Viet Cong were the original name, used from 2012 to 2016, of the Calgary post-punk band now called *Preoccupations*. Former *Women* members Matt Flegel and Mike Wallace formed the group with Scott Munro and Daniel Christiansen, and the quartet released the EP 'Cassette' and the acclaimed debut album 'Viet Cong' (2015) on #Jagjaguwar#. After sustained protests over the name, the band announced a change in 2015 and relaunched as Preoccupations in 2016, with the lineup unchanged.
