Biography
Water Damage is a large drone rock collective from Austin, Texas, whose ten or so core members come from bands including *Swans*, *Spray Paint*, *USA/Mexico* and *Black Eyes*. Playing side long pieces called reels, the group uses several drummers and bassists at once to repeat one riff with minimal deviation until it becomes hypnotic. Their albums, from 'Repeater' through 'In E' and 'Instruments' to 'Repair', document a communal, maximalist take on minimalism, released largely through Austin label #12XU#.
