Biography
Wheel is a progressive metal band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 2015 by British-born vocalist and guitarist James Lascelles with drummer Santeri Saksala and Finnish bandmates. Following two EPs, the debut album 'Moving Backwards' established a sound of angular polyrhythms, atmospheric builds and dystopian lyrics. 'Resident Human' expanded the band's reach through extensive touring, and the trio of Lascelles, Saksala and guitarist Jussi Turunen released the heavier 'Charismatic Leaders' in 2024, a critique of cult-like political leadership.
