Biography
YU Grupa is a Serbian rock band from Belgrade, formed in 1970 by brothers Dragi and Žika Jelić and still led by them today. Pioneers of folk rock in Yugoslavia, the band fused progressive and hard rock with Balkan traditional music on albums including 'YU Grupa' (1973), 'Kako to da svaki dan?' (1974) and 'Evo stojim tu' (2016), and hits such as 'Crni leptir'. After a 1981 split and a 1987 reunion, YU Grupa endures as Serbia's longest-running rock band.
