Album Notes & Community Reviews

Compiling the entirety of the critically adored singles released on the legendary Sarah Records imprint, 'London Weekend' perfectly encapsulates the hyper-melodic, deeply sensitive ethos of late-1980s twee pop. Harvey Williams's jangling, reverb-drenched guitar melodies are constantly juxtaposed with starkly depressive, lovelorn lyricism. Never releasing a formal studio album, this brief but flawless singles collection cemented the band's status as underground indie-pop legends.
