Album Notes & Community Reviews

Drawn from two 1953 Tico 10-inch LPs, these sixteen tracks document Rodr铆guez's conjunto in New York with singers Ren茅 Scull and C谩ndido Antomattei. 'La Gente del Bronx' takes the city's Puerto Rican barrio as its subject, an early sign of the audience that would build salsa on his format.
