Nineteen tracks recorded in Havana between 1946 and 1951, with F茅lix Chappott铆n and Chocolate Armenteros in the trumpet section and Lil铆 Mart铆nez at the piano. Across these sides Rodr铆guez's tres leads an ensemble whose layered trumpet riffs and piano guajeos became the working vocabulary of salsa arrangers.
