Album Notes & Community Reviews

Drawn from Havana sessions of the late 1940s, the eighteen tracks feature pianist Lil铆 Mart铆nez, trumpeters F茅lix Chappot铆n and Alfredo 'Chocolate' Armenteros and bassist L谩zaro Prieto in Rodr铆guez's conjunto. The program includes his bolero 'La Vida es un Sue帽o', written after a New York specialist told the blind tresero his sight would never return.
