Independency

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collecting the band's formative early EPs and singles prior to the release of their masterpiece 'Hex', 'Independency' maps the real-time invention of modern post-rock. The tracks chart a rapid evolution from conventional, albeit moody, indie-pop toward sprawling, cinematic soundscapes reliant on extended atmospheric tension and jazz-inflected rhythms. It serves as an essential companion piece showcasing the experimental foundations of the heavily influential London group.
