Rafael Kubelik conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker in Dvo艡谩k's nine symphonies, recorded for Deutsche Grammophon in the 1970s. Kubelik, himself Czech, was a noted interpreter of his compatriot's music, and the cycle includes the 'New World' Symphony in a reading rooted in the Czech tradition.
