Album Notes & Community Reviews

A collection built around Bettye LaVette's shelved Atlantic album 'Child of the Seventies', recorded in Muscle Shoals and refused release at the time, supplemented with her earlier Atlantic singles. Her raspy, gospel-rooted voice had been a cult secret for three decades before this material finally surfaced.
