Album Notes & Community Reviews

Subtitled 'Red Hot Blues 1931-36', 'Banana in Your Fruit Basket' collects fourteen of Bo Carter's double-entendre sides, including 'All Around Man', 'My Pencil Won't Write No More' and 'Pin in Your Cushion'. The sleeve art by Robert Crumb fronts the bawdy songbook of the Chatmon family singer who cut more than a hundred sides during the nineteen-thirties.
