Album Notes & Community Reviews

Summarizing David Gates's masterful, highly lucrative grip on the American adult contemporary charts, this compilation became a multi-platinum staple of 1970s soft rock. The gentle acoustic guitars, swelling string arrangements, and sentimental balladry perfectly captured the era's shift toward mellow, radio-friendly introspection.
